That said, It's also been many years since I tried any of these. Not at a professional level such as with Persino and PoP, anyway. None of them really felt properly polished, however. They are definitely not the most "complex" mods, though they all do add extra mechanics and lots of content. Played them, but never able to stick to them for very long. Third Age, Song of Ice and Fire, Star Wars. It's been years since I played PoP, I imagine it's extremely stable right now. Lots more to do for the player, from collecting special troops to overpowered gear, from fighting massive invasion armies to building relations and such in more ways than before. Not just in terms of stats, but also how the player is able to progress through the content. Probably my personal favorite, it adds a treasure trove of content, all highly polished and well balanced. You said you'd rather steer away from Vanilla, in which case I would recommend Prophesy of Pendor. It adds additional features and mechanics. It expands and improves upon vanilla in almost every way. I think MB vets should understand what I am looking for and I would appreciate if you share your opinion when it comes to my question. I know I could try them all out and look what floats the boat but I think it rather difficult to tell without investing serious amounts of time into these mods. Thats it, if there is another important total conversion that I´ve missed let me know. Pro, Con same as Third Age, I don´t know much about them My con: I don´t know much about this mod and how well the mechanics play out and if there are new gameplay features My con: I know its different but it feels pretty like Native to me, the story of the campaign is hard to rate as I didn´t played much of it, but the beginning was not the best. My pro: Naval battles, singleplayer campaign which opens up into sandbox ![]() My con: People also tell its quantity over quality, also bigger must not be better when its just a bigger map or more factions if there are no new mechanics or gameplay features to bolster this grand scale. My pro: I don´t know much about it, people tell its bigger than POP My Con: on the other hand people often say it is close to the "Native" experience, which isn´t something I really want and from watching video gameplay this mod looks like it comes with alot of new mechanics right? My Pro: Alot of the MB guys play it and it seems to offer alot of opportunities, very polished. the "most complex mod" if there is one that deserves that title alone.Ĭurrently I have these mods and DLCs in focus: I am specifically looking for a mod that adds the most new quality questlines, mechanics, diplomacy and companion options i. I like the idea of M&B but get bored by native pretty quick because of the monotous tasks and lack of immersive content. Not difficulty-wise but content- and mechanics-wise.
